here i am

well hello everyone! i have actually been away from home for about two weeks but have just now finished/am still finishing getting settled. my week in boston was awesome. dani is still pretty much amazing (as are all of you), boston is a blast, and b.c. was great fun, even though we lost the fsu game. then, this past week, my parents came with me across the pond for a little vacation before school. we spent a lovely three days in wales (i know why wales you ask. well i say why not?), and then we spent the last three days in oxford. we did some shopping, some tourist stuff, and explored this incredible city.

sadly my parents are leaving bright and early tomorrow morning, but it was good to get to spend this time with them...well, it's 2am and i am uber tired, so i think this is it for my first entry. i think this is going to be an amazing year, really interesting and exciting, but i must say there are some things about the british that are just so wierd. for example, my whole college situation. i go to mansfield college (one of 39 colleges that make up oxford university), but i don't live there, i don't have class there (there are no classes at oxford, there are tutorials), my professors aren't from there (you can have professors from any colleges in the university), and i might never spend anytime there. it's rather strange. basically, i go to school there, but i don't...anyways, i hope you are all doing well. i will miss you all very much but really want to keep in touch. so check the blog whenever the spirit moves you to do so (or whenver you just want to), and feel free to comment as much as you like. talk to you all soon. p.s. i have included a few pictures from this place i now call home (and maybe one or two from welsh country).

It seems you are strarting out on the right foot. Oxford and the surrounds are beautiful. I am sure you will enjoy the culture, history, and people. I hope you can find the time. It was great to see you this summer, though it was too little. Best of luck. We will continue to check in.

What up J??
I miss you already, but it sounds like life is good. You better make it to an EPL game before you come home(otherwise don't bother coming back at all). Seriously, hope that school goes really well, but that is weird that you go to school and don't go to school. Reminds me: I'm.... Ron Burgundy??? Anywho, have an outstanding time and Ill talk to you soon.
